AJW Architectural Products is currently seeking Assemblers and Machine Operators to join our team in Comfort, TX. The candidates should have at least one year experience in any type of assembly and/or machine operation. We are willing to train in our specific processes and machines.

 

SUMMARY:

  • Assembly of metal lockers and washroom partitions
  • Set up and operate turret punch press and press brakes, which includes:
  • Loading and unloading tools
  • Operating the machine control
  • Maintenance of the machine
  • Running parts per customer drawing
  • Deburring parts while in production
  • Performing secondary operations on punched parts
  • Grinding, buffing and other related functions

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of punch & die clearances, material bend allowances, and die radius for proper bending of material is preferred.

Door Machining Supervisor - Comfort, TX

SUMMARY:

This position is primarily responsible for overseeing production activities related to trimming and edge banding, CNC machining, final inspection and palletizing of architectural wood doors.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operates and programs CNC Machines to do hardware preparation on flush wood doors. These machines will make hinge cut outs, lock function holes and window cut outs.
  • Plans, assigns and executes functions according to production requirements.
  • Maintains the pace in the operation according to the production goals.
  • Makes sure team members follow the schedule and priorities as directed by the manager.
  • Trains others as needed.
  • Find process improvements to achieve and maintain production goal
  • Maintains the production flow

  • Keeps work area clean and organized

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Directly supervises 6-8 employees in CNC machining, trimming and final inspection. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and three years related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Woodworking manufacturing experience is preferred. Previous lead experience in a manufacturing environment is also preferred. Forklift operation experience is required.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must be bilingual English/Spanish. Production Laborers - Doors Division - Comfort, TX

SUMMARY:

The available positions are primarily responsible for production activities related to sanding, trimming and edge banding, CNC machining (Kval Edge and Point to Point), final inspection and palletizing of architectural wood doors.

Production Manager - Flush Wood Doors and Composite Partitions - Comfort, TX

SUMMARY:

Directs and coordinates activities of the Architectural Flush Wood Door and Composite Partition production department(s) in processing materials or manufactured products in industrial organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

SUMMARY

Shipping/Receiving Manager - Comfort, TX

SUMMARY:

This position is primarily responsible for the accuracy, detail, coordination and operations involving the shipment of all work orders and the receiving off all raw materials, supplies and services.

Primary Responsibilities:
